Sinterklaas Visits the Museum - December 2, 2017

About 40 children brought their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to the Dekker Huis / Zeeland Museum on Saturday, the second of December. They visited with Sinterklaas from 10:00 am to noon and heard the story about how Dutch children celebrate Christmas in the Netherlands.

Each child also had the opportunity to:

  • FIND SINTERKLAAS' HORSE throughout the museum and get a sticker
  • Make and taste applesauce in the original Dekker Huis kitchen
  • Make Christmas ornaments in the research room
  • Try on pioneer clothing in the Log Cabin
  • Make Sinterklaas hats in the Veterans Memorial Room
  • Make Christmas chains in the Toy Room
  • Take home a goodie bag !

Thank you to all volunteers who helped !
