Donating Items and Collections

The Dekker Huis Museum is currently accepting donations by appointment only. We are looking for artifacts and archival materials that will help us understand and tell the story of Zeeland and the surrounding area.

Please review our COLLECTIONS STATEMENT to determine if your donation fits our mission.

The Zeeland Historical Society will collect only those items for the Dekker Huis and Zeeland Historical Museum that were made or used in the City of Zeeland or the surrounding area (New Groningen, Borculo, Beaverdam, Drenthe, Vriesland, and Noordeloos); or were associated with a person, place, or event in Zeeland or the surrounding area; or, to a limited extent, are typical or representative of objects made or used in Zeeland or the surrounding area; and which are of a historical, cultural, economic, or aesthetic nature, for which the museum can properly care for.

CLOCKS: We are in need of archival materials relating to the clock industry in Zeeland. If you have any catalogs, advertisements, correspondence, manuscripts, official documents, price lists, or writings related to Colonial Manufacturing, Herman Miller clocks, Howard Miller, Hubbell, or Trend-Sligh, please consider donating these items to the Zeeland Historical Society Archives.

If you have an item or archival materials you would like to donate,
